It's a short book, weighing in at just over 200 pages, but there's a lot of plot packed into those pages. Very little words are wasted on long description and narrative, but Le Carre st...more

Express Review on Spy Who Came In From the Cold - John Le Carre

Rating:

A must-read. - Advantages: Simply a most profound 20th-century novel I read, If you care for movie American Beauty, you might have stopped to ponder at the line "You've treated her like an employee!" The novel shows what the universal "treatment" is about. , If you are looking for a mirror, it will put you in the picture. - Disadvantages: Seems to be a "for-men-only" stuff.

A light, undaunting and easy on the brain read The characters are a bit far fetched (especially the lead one)

Good idea for a murder story, Plenty of red herrings Disappointing end
