Stargirl is a novel first published in 2000, written by Jerry Spinelli. The plot revolves around the narrator, Leo Borlock. He is your average, conformist teenage; he doesn't want to be the centre of attention and is comfortable blending in with everyone else in his like-minded high school (Mica Area High School, Arizona, just in case you were wondering!) However, these feelings are soon turned on their head when Stargirl arrives at the school. She is non-conformist, compassionate and has no hatred for other people. i think this item has been placed in the wrong category, its not a music album but its actually a book, and a good one at that. Its a sort of teenage read, probably for about twelve plus. it features on Mica high school over in america, and the arrival of a new girl who goes against the complete conformity of the rest of the school, a girl known only as stargirl. In the book she goes from the weird outsider to being the latest girl of attention, and then is outcast once again after failing in her role as a cheerleader.
