Vampires and wear wolves have always been natural enemies, but never have they fought over a girl before. This Twilight Saga box set contains Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and the Eclipse Novella; The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. You can currently buy this set on Amazon for £25 and they are all in Paperback.

This series of books follows Bella, a human who falls in love with Edward. But he can never touch her, be with her or even around her as he is from a different world and when the two collide it puts Bella in serious danger, not only from Edward, but his family and others like him. You see, to them, she is food. All vampires see humans as food, but Edward's family have become the equivalent of vegetarian, only eating animals instead of humans. And he has fallen for her too.

The first book - Twilight - follows Bella's move to Forks from her mother's to live with her dad, Charlie (the local sheriff) and her move to a new school, meeting old friends and making new ones. Being a small town, she is hot news and on everyone's mind. Edward knew she was there before she was even coming, except, he couldn't hear her like everyone else. This made him want to puzzle her out, and when he realises how clumsy she is, he wants to protect her from the world too. Except, when Bella works out his secret, it draws her into his world and into the path of danger.

The second book - New Moon - is set in Forks as well, but Edward has left town to protect Bella. In this book we see her turn to an old friend; Jacob, for comfort and we learn a lot more about him and about their relationship. Being in love with a Vampire has meant that Bella is in a fast paced moving world and finding it hard to keep up, but after a couple of incidents that caused Edward to leave she finds the only way to feel close to him is to put herself in danger as she seems to hear his voice or see his face in these situations. It is during one of these situations that word gets to Edward saying Bella has killed herself. Edward doesn't want to live in a world without Bella and goes to Italy to seek the help of the oldest Vampires to kill himself.

The third book - Eclipse - Edward has survived, Bella is happy and grounded. Edward's family have noticed a number of killings in the closest metropolis and want to find out what is going on. With the number of deaths and the amount of attention they are attracting they know it isn't the work of older vampires who fear the wrath of the Volturi (the vampire eldars) so they quickly work out that someone must be creating an army of newborn vampires. But who? And why? This book sees the wear wolf pack and the Cullen's working together to protect Bella from this latest threat.

Between the third and fourth book falls The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. It is an Eclipse novella which follows one of the newborn vampires in the army and shows how she has to protect herself in the pack of newborns she was living with. It follows her all the way to the end of the war - the last battle between the newborns, the Cullen's and the wear wolves. After surviving, she is quickly taught a new lesson by the Volturi and it will be her last.

The last book is Breaking Dawn. There is an awful lot packed into this book, we see Bella and Edward graduate from high school, their marriage and Bella's happily ever after. She has twisted Edward's arm and made him a deal, she will marry him in return for immortality, but before he turns her, she wants to have as many human experiences as possible, including those that happen on honeymoons. It is while in an enamoured state on their honeymoon that Bella realises she is pregnant and it is then a race against time to save Bella, work out what the baby is and we also get the questions about Jacob answered too!

A brilliant series and although it was originally aimed at teens I enjoyed it from start to finish!

Summary: Worth the read!
