Yet another fabulous book from Julia Donaldson. My one year old daughter was bought this as a present. Although she is too young to understand the story and is just enjoying trying to rip the pages of this book my other half and I when we read it to her discovered that this book could well be our favourite childrens book.

It is such a lovely story line with great characters and a really animated book to read aloud. The illustrations by Alex Schleffer are bold, colourful and humourous. What else would we expect from such a great team?

Also its a great idea for a christmas present for children as although i dont want to ruin the story line it mentions father christmas in it. I would recommend this book to anyone for reading to children and for children to read to themselves as it teaches them how to read rhymes.
