As my youngest daughter is three, she was recently eligible to receive a treasure chest of books through the government's wonderful Bookstart scheme. This scheme ensures that at various stages in a young child's life, they will receive good quality books which will hopefully start to foster a love of books and reading. The books are always bright and colourful and written by good quality authors. This is the case with 'Stomp, Chomp, Big Roars! Here Come the Dinosaurs' written by Kaye Umansky and illustrated by Nick Sharratt. ~ Format, Style and Content of the Book ~ This large book contains 15 rhymes, all of which relate to dinosaurs. Out come the babies, Clap, clap, clap! Try their tails out, Flap, flap, flap! Then settle down for a nap. Zzzzzzzzzz.' Another rhyme encourages ... Read the complete review

Stomp Chomp, Big Roars! Here Come the Dinosaurs! Is a lovely big book which was given to my 4 year old little man in a book start set. The cover of the book is a nice bright yellow with a picture of a red and a blue dinosaur and the title is on the right hand side in nice bright coloured lettering. The back cover of the book again has a picture of some dinosaurs and also a short paragraph about the book. The book contains lots of short rhyming poems, for example; This is the way we stomp our feet, Stomp Stomp Stomp! This is the way we like to eat, Chomp Chomp Chomp! Stomp Chomp Big roars! Here come the ... Read the complete review
