The Alfie seies of books have always been a firm favourite in our household. My girls, now aged 8 & 9, have always adored Alfie and now love reading them to their 3 year old brother. Alfie gets in First tells the story that every child can relate to. The joy of running home and being the first in the door. The joy of beating Mum and little sister and being home first. Then we have the fear of being trapped on the wrong side of the door with Mum safely on the other. A little thing to an adult but so important to any child. This is brilliantly written showing how alfie is a bit scared but without going too far. The happiness when all is solved. The Alfie books all ...
