Stormbreaker is all about Alex Rider. The reluctant teenage spy. In this book although I will not contain any huge spoilers I may hint at a few small things that happen int he first few pages. Alex Rider's uncle is crazy about safety. He would never drive Alex round the block without him wearing a seat belt. So when Alex is told that his uncle has died in a car crash because he didn't wear a seatbelt while working for his mysterious "bannking job" Alex Rider has every right to be suspicious.
Acting on those suspicions Alex Rider visits the car scrapping place wher his uncle's car is kept. And it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there are bullet hole sprayed about everywhere. Alex is then asked by Mi6 to be a spy and go out on his first mission. Well I say ask but the truth is he was blackmailed. Do this mission or your babysitter/carer gets chuckedout of the country and you get sent to the worst foster home in the country.
Stormbreaker is a very exciting fast paced action book which has several twists and turns. I have got to commend Anthony Horowitz on this fabulous series. Stormbreaker was also a very successful film when released almost a year ago. Overall I would recommend this read to all children and young teenagers.
