Advantages: Content
Disadvantages: None
I found this book whilst browsing in a book store looking for something different. This book is certainly that.
The cover is somewhat unusual with some human bodies with birds heads. Do not let this put you off though, after all, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
The book mainly focuses on John Gray's views on the philosophy of the world and the ideas and concepts that many people have adopted and lead their lives by. His views are extremely interesting and he goes where others have not dared. He has an up front and to the point view, which I find very appealing and definitely keeps one interested.
One of his main views, is that humans are simply animals, and that the majority of people seem to forget this fact.
One of the things he said in the book that really made sense is that of humans having the ability to think and question things, and that this can actually be a disadvantage, as there are some things that there are no answers for, yet as humans we continue to question it as we are not satisfied until we have the answer.
If you are looking for a book that keeps the mind focused and is challenging, this is definitely worth a read. I found it to be extremely inspiring and that it really makes a change.
Summary: Something different!
