***Background*** Straight off I’m going to say that Susan Rennie specialises in books that are written with the Scots language in the forefront. I know a lot of you out there are not Scottish so I will try to translate the sayings as best I can along the way. The delightful drawings in this book, are provided by Julie Lacome, who has also provided the illustrations for many other children’s books. ***The Story*** The story starts with a question. “Dae Sweetieraptors eat broon rice?” This asks, ‘Do Sweetieraptors eat brown rice?’ Quite straightforward to start with.
