alternate history works. I also love harry harrison who writes similar work. It is either going to be hit or miss with you and Turtledove, either you have a mind that wanders into countless what if scenarios everytime you read history or current events or you have a mind that discounts fantasy as a medium for conscious growth. You can get professional summaries and reviews of Turtledove off of Amazon and I won't begin to mettle in that stuff, I just wished someone had told me the man existed years ago.
