In Lewis Carroll's final novel to be published before his death, we are introduced to a nameless narrator who, when he falls asleep, steps into a world of fairies, magic and ridiculous characters, much like Alice. In Fairyland there is a plot to oust the Warden from his high ruling position, while the innocent young sprites Sylvie and Bruno ignore the goings on of the grownups and enjoy the simple pleasures of life with the eccentric Professor and his ridiculous inventions. The more mature Sylvie does her best to look after her young brother Bruno, making sure he goes to his lessons and keeps out of trouble, while Bruno does his best to make sense ...
