Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Weschler, is probably the most important discovery I have made in a long time. I got this book after it was highly recommended by several people on babyworld. I went to amazon to get it, and found it had been reviewed by 119 people (never seen so many to rate a book there) and almost all gave it top marks. This book will teach you the principles of the Fertility Awareness Method, or FAM. This is all about teaching women to read their body’s signals to tell them when they are fertile or not, so that they can either avoid or plan a pregnancy. Many women feel that it’s unfair that they should have to take a ... Read the complete review

I bought this because many people had spoken very highly of t and I wanted to understand my body and heighten my chances of pregnancy. When I first bought it, I had a quick look through and was quite suprised at how much information there was . Actually, I wasn't sure how I was going to get through the whole book. But, as I started reading through, I was hooked. This book is all about understanding how a woman's body works and to take charge of it (hence the title). For instance, you are able to find out the exact day of ovulation just by taking your basal body temperature and observing your cervical mucus every day. Yes it sounds gross, but it ... This book is exelent I would go as far as to say that every women should be given it to read as it will give her so much infomation about her body that she has NO idea about. I got this book while trying to conceive my first child. A lot of women use this book mainly to try to conceive but it is actually mainly written as a way to chart for not getting pregnant (only a couple of chapters written about getting pregnant) but as all you need to do is go for it on the days you normally would not go for it on it is easy to use for both getting pregnant and not getting pregnant. There are some pretty exclibit pictures in this book and I know a couple of ... Read the complete review

Toni Weschler's Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a book I highly recommend for all women. Fertility Awareness Method is just what the title suggests, awareness of your fertility cycles. This book will teach you how to monitor your fertility signs, which are your basal body temperature, cervical position and cervical fluid; doing this will help you to pinpoint when in your cycle you ovulate, when you are fertile or infertile, when your period will arrive and whether or not your cycle patterns suggest you might have hormonal problems or anything else unusual you want to see your doctor about. It will teach you which of the 'things' your body does that are normal and ... Read the complete review

I started trying to conceive my 2nd child in August this year, and went be the conventional method, until I was recommanded Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler! I had looked high and low in the shelves of UK bookstores, to no avail, when a dear friend at The Parent Club sent me her copy. The book has changed my life completely, and by reading it cover to cover, and using the methods used by this book, I got pregnant on first try. Sadly I miscarried, but due to the methods of the book, I could easily see my body went back to normal straight away again, and I'm now hopeful for the first month after miscarrying again. I strongly recommand ... Read the complete review
