I picked this up from a discount bookstore for my 9month old baby girl (who loves lift the flap books and this was the only one in the shop). It was £2.99, but the recommended retail price on the back is £12.99 so I got myself a bargain! It's a joint effort by Julia Donaldson (writer) and Axel Scheffler (illustrator), and we have many of their other books in our collection so I knew this would be a hit with my kids. It's a bit more basic than their other books, with only 4 lines of large rhyming text per page, so it's perfect for a younger child, as well as an older one (both my 9 month old and my 2 ½ year old adore it).
