Dr. Dana Halter has to go to the dentist‘s and afterwards to the college where she teaches English literature, she’s a bit late and has no time for breakfast, she gulps down some coffee and runs out of the house. Because she’s in a hurry and because she can’t see any cars at the crossroads, she doesn’t stop, she only shifts down. A policeman stops her, checks her papers and from then on nothing is at it was before, her life is turned upside down.
