As a teenager with an interest in paganism who had found it very difficult to read the heavier stuff by pagans like Janet and Stuart Farrar I picked up this book and found that finally there was a book on paganism that I can understand. I consider this to be a great book for a number of reasons. Teen witch is really really easy to understand. It takes complicated concepts and simplifies them. I don't just think that this is good for teenagers, I'm not trying to be patronising and say that it's a great book for teenagers because it's so easy to understand. It's a great book for anyone who is new to Wicca because of it's simplicity. Teen ... Read the complete review

This is quite possibly the most patronising book I have ever read. And I have read some patronising ones. This is definitely written for the Buffy generation. I can see its written to be parent friendly, but it IS possible to do that without completely mucking it up! It is an attractive looking book, the front cover gives the misleading idea that Wicca is all about being trendy. Ravenwolf refers to Spirit as God (as in masculine and singular) throughout the book, this is unusual and misleading. She also condemns prejudice and then incites it herself (she says its the 'other' guys who do black magick). She also seems to think teenagers are ... Read the complete review

Teen Witch: Wicca for a New Generation - Silver Ravenwolf has always been criticized by pagans/witches/wiccans and i can see why! I brought this book of amazon as i have always been told by fellow pagans to stay away from silver ravenwolf and i wanted to see if this book was any good for me. I read this book and it was a waist of my time, She is a witch but tries to make the reader follow her own path and this book as many false parts in it E.G. "Witches belive that there is one god and he is feminine and masculine" or something along those lines which is complete rubbish! she ay think that but other pagans don't such as myself. If you are ... Read the complete review

Silver Ravenwolf is an excellent author for new age Wicca and this book is perfect for anyone curious about the craft, it is really informative but doesn't make it feel like you have to commit to anything by just reading the book. This book is only for beginners or those who are just curious about the craft becasue with the craft as a whole this book doesn't even scratch the surface, thats why i don't really believe it's in depth enough. Teenwitch starts with an explanation of what wicca actually is and the first few pages are for parents to read so that they can understand that wicca is not evil and will have no adverse affects on their ...
