Terry Deary is a fantastic author. He is famous for his collection of books known as 'Horrible Histories'. These books cover a wide range of topics in History and are supposed to make learning fun for children. One of these is Awesome Egyptians. Plot: This particular book takes us back in time to the time when the Egyptians were around. It's one of the original books by Deary but despite being older it still displays fantastic work. The pictures inside are delightful and there are a lot of interesting facts that children can discover. The text is by Terry Deary with cartoons provided by Peter Hepplewhite. Deary has written all the books in the “Horrible Histories” series, but several different illustrators have been used. Hepplewhite’s style is fairly typical of all of them, being of a style that is rather like the political satire sketches found in many newspapers.
