Advantages: Just a great read.

Disadvantages: ?

I have long since been a great admirer of Julie Walters and her autobiography was one I had really looked forward to reading but I have to admit I did not really get as much out of the book as I thought I would have.

Perhaps it was just me but she did not seem to put as much passion into her words in this book as one might expect from someone who puts so much passion into her work.

That aside though the book was still a very good read and told of the lady since her birth in Smethwick in Birmingham back in 1950 and of her shock of being accepted into a girls school because she had never done to well academically.

I knew a lot about the lady before reading this but there were still some eye opening stories so for someone who knows little about her the book will be a fantastic read.

Julie has led a long and very successful life and to hear how she started out in life and how she became the success that she is today gives real inspiration.

The book does not go into her most recent times and I guess this is to allow enough material for a follow up but i do begrudge her that as she will have more stories to tell I am sure.

The book was published in 2008 and retailed at £18.99 but it can of course be found much cheaper, I personally paid £9.99 for it from Asda and it was worth every penny and it is a book i would say is a must for any of her fans but also a great read for people who are not particularly fans of hers as it has open interest in my opinion.

Summary: A must for fans but recommended to everyone.
