Advantages: HUMOUROUS

Disadvantages: A LITTLE TO MUCH ON CHILDHOOD

THAT'S ANOTHER STORY is the title of actress Julie Walters' autobiography.
The book is split in to 21 chapters of varying length.

Walters' details in great length her childhood spent in the Midlands. Usually I find autobiographies that concentrate on childhood tedious, but Walters' stories are very heartfelt and she comes across as a loving daughter to her parents. She also came from a poor background and her parents had to fight for everything they had.

Walters' talks openly about how she struggled at school and that she was suprised she went on to achieve what she did. Walters' trained to be a nurse and actually was for a number of years. This is a great segment as it shows that she is a down to earth woman who never craved to be famous from a young age.

There is some sadness in the book when she talks about the death of her father which made her more determined to go in to the acting business. The story of how she achieved this is quite incredible and a real achievement for a girl from Birmingham.

Walters' goes on to tell lots of anecdotes about the films and television programmes she has appeared in and the actors and actresses she has met. Many of these stories are highly amusing and will leave you with a smile on your face. She has made great friendships with some of the people she's worked with who you forgot she's worked with which is an intruguing read.

She explains the love for her family and how she lives to support them and be the best of what she can.

Overall, Walters' comes across as a really likeable woman. There is no pretentiousness in the book as she is just a normal woman. The humour in the book is constant while the emotional stories are very poignant. The writing style is fluent so you fly through the book.
Avaliable from AMAZON at £10.89 this is a humourous and heartwarming book.
