That's Not My Car by Fiona Watt - Touchy Feely Book from Usborne
That's Not My Car is one book from a large series of the Touchy Feely books from Usborne. It is a chunky board book suitable for young children around the ages of 1 to 3.
The book has lovely bright and bold pictures on each page and the best thing about this book is the fact there is a different texture to feel with each new picture. The picture on the front of the book is of a car that has lovely shiny windows and the caption underneath says... "That's not my car its windows are too shiny!" This phrase we see all the way through to the last page where the caption changes to "That's my Car..." instead.
This is by far the best book from the series as the pictures are brilliant with the bits that you touch being more different than the other books we have. The Hubcaps are lumpy, the radiator is bumpy this book is just great fun. Jack really likes it too in fact at the moment this is his boo of choice as he has abandoned his Thomas the Tank Engine one for this.
These books have a RRP of £4.99 pence on the back but you can often pick them up a lot cheaper. Tesco are selling them at £4 right now and you can get a buy three for the price of two deal at the Early Learning Centre.
I would highly recommend this book and all the books from the Touchy Feely Range from Usborne. They are great to get children into books and what with them being so chunky and made of board they can with stand even the toughest of children with them.
There are so many books from this series to choose from I am sure anyone would be able to find the right one for their child. 10/10 for this wonderful book.
Summary: a great starter book
