Premium Review That's Not My Fairy - Fiona Watt: Why can't your child's fairy be a fairy of colour? (185 words)

Whilst I agree with all of the reviewers' comments, the thing that I did not like about this book was how people or colour are presented. Maybe I'm being too sensitive, I don't know. The fairies that are brown or have yellow skin tend to be at the start of the book. Your child reads that these are not his/her fairies. Surprise ...  Read the complete review

My my youngest child was born, my brother bought this book for my older daughter. She was nearly 3 at the time and was feeling a little left out with her sister getting all the presents. This is another one of the books in the "that's not my" set. The books are aimed at the younger children aged between 9 months and 5 years old. This book though is a must from anyone with a little girl that loves fairies and pink. The book is bright pink with shinny starts all over the front of the book. The book ...  Read the complete review

It was my daughter who spotted this book on the shelf in the bookshop and I think it was the bright pink cover with little sparklers all over it which attracted her attention. My daughter absolutely loves this little book. She loves listening to the story as we read through the book as it is very simple and easy for her to follow and ...  Read the complete review

“That’s Not My Fairy” is the perfect book for 1-3 year olds as it is very simple, easy to read, short and has interesting images. The best part of this touchy-feely series is the textured parts on the pages, which toddlers can touch while a parent reads the story. For example, on the front cover is a picture of a fairy with a shiny fabric textured ...  Read the complete review
