As it was coming up to Christmas I decided to buy this for my little one to add to his growing collection of 'That's not my' books. If you haven't come across this series of books they are aimed at the youngest of readers and follow the same theme. On each page you see the line 'That's not my....' and the object which can range from robots to dragons, to teddies to cars to dollys to princesses to pirates to mermaids. The list is seemingly endless. It then says why not - and the picture has a corresponding texture or appearance. On the final page you finally say 'That is my...' and why. This may all sound like money for old rope but the books ... Read the complete review

THAT'S NOT MY PENGUIN is another book in the Usborne "That's Not My..." Touchy Feely Books series. The Touchy Feely books aim to help children develop their language skills and provide a stimulating sensory experience, as well. The drawings include different fabrics and materials of various textures. In each book a little white mouse searches for something that belongs to him. There have been several editions of this series, and with every new edition the books have undergone some design alterations, with the colours often changing from one edition to the next, and the drawings being tweaked. The edition I am ... Read the complete review

This book was actually bought for me when I was pregnant with our first baby two Christmases ago. Knowing my love of penguins, and obviously aware of our imminent arrival, it was an inspired gift choice from my best friend. For 6 months the book sat on the shelf until our little girl arrived. But once she was born, we introduced her to That's Not My Penguin from an early age and it's now one of her favourite bedtime books. The book is part of a series of touchy-feely books from Usborne called That's Not My.... and featuring a whole range of child friendly animals and objects, such as dinosaurs, teddy bears and of course penguins. As it was a gift, I ... Read the complete review

That's not my penguin is one of many books from the That's not my book collection from Usborne. I purchased four of these books as a Christmas present for Rhys, I bought this book from Amazon for £2.99, I got them cheaper than the usual price as I bought four of them together, the usual price for purchasing one by itself is £5.99. For those of you that aren't familiar with this range f books, they are touchy, feely books and are designed to develop your child's sensory and language development. The book itself measures 17cm x 17cm and is made of very hard cardboard. Each page is made of very thick cardboard so is ideal for little fingers as the ... Read the complete review

I have begun collecting some of the "That's Not My" series of books for my daughter as they are a great way of introducing books to toddlers. Some of them I will be keeping back for Christmas presents, but I decided to give her a couple before Christmas to introduce her to what the winter season is all about. I'm not expecting her to understand it all but it will be nice for us to have stories that relate to the seasons and the weather. That's Not My Penguin obviously features penguins. For anyone who hasn't heard of this range of books, they are a range of hard backed books suitable for one to three year olds. They are all designed around a ... Read the complete review

Not quite as humorous as some of Lynley Dodds' other books.
