Tami Hoag is an author I've read a few books by but isnt one I'll go out of my way to pick up when I see her work on the shelf. But this one I wanted to pick up as it features a character I knew from previous work. Elena Estes a former police woman who now works for an old friend on his farm with the Polo ponies, yet is trying to leave behind all of her old life, from her parents to her police work. The reasons for this are varied and only touched upon in the book. Out for a ride on one of the horses from the farm Elena comes across a body in one of the many drainage canals criss crossing the Palm Beach area, calling the police she soon discovers ...  Read the complete review
