Despite being trained in Fine Art at a well respected London art college, I found myself creatively blocked for years after graduating, and deeply frustrated with the feeling that I was unable to follow my life's calling as a painter. It is no exaggeration to say that just reading the "The Artists Way" has helped me to remove a creative block of many years standing and I am now painting and exhibiting again. The advice in this book is both specific and wide ranging. Literally anyone could apply it to their life and work whether they are an experienced artist or have not touched a paintbrush/musical instrument etc since they were at school. ... The Artist's Way is one of the best books I have ever purchased. I had been recommended it several times before I finally went out and got it. This book does not teach you how to be creative, exactly, but it will show you how to be creative without drugs or other addictions to keep your mind off stresses which would otherwise inhabit your creativity. "The Artist's Way" teaches you how to deal with the range of stressful things and situations in your life, as well as negative beliefs, that can hold you back from realising your creative potential.
