This chapter will guide you towards, not so much getting the 'right' answer, but guiding you towards being able to analyse a cultural text in a way where your answer in an exam would have a more academic meaning and leaning.
It is especially good for those who are more inclined to analyse texts, rather than create them i.e. the art historian or critic as opposed to the artist themselves.

I love the simplicity of the cover design. It is nice to see a book that is mainly aimed at the visual arts having such a striking but simple cover. There is plenty to read here, so this will keep you going if you really want to read it from cover to cover. What I found was the beauty of this book though is that I could just dip in to it whenever I felt there was a particular area I was strugging with. Considering this, one of the most useful chapters I found in the book was Processes of Study in the Arts and Humanities.
