The Bad Mother's Handbook - Kate Long

I decide to get this book based on the strength of a couple of reviews on this site as it seemed to be quite interesting and I was also looking for some light hearted reading for material while I was away with work as it can be quite strenuous and I need to wind down quite quickly. The story revolves around three central characters who all live together, the main character is known as Nan which is short for Nancy and she is the elderly matriach of the house, then there is Mum whose name is Karen and finally her seventeen year old daughter Charlotte. I got this book from www.bookcrossing.com which is a site that sends books all over the world and you get to read the ones you want to. This one was in a bookring or a bookray (cannot remember which), but you sign up to the bookring/ray using the forums, then you are added to the list, then when the book is received by the person before you on the list, you have to give them your mailing address, and then you get it through the post, and then you ask the next person for their mailing address and after you've read the book you send it on to them. Although this book was first published in 2004 and I had heard of it, I had never got around to reading git , so when I saw it at a car boot sale in a box of books marked 4 for £1, I snapped it up (along with three others which no doubt I'll be writing reviews for at some point in the future).
