Advantages: Makes you feel a whole lot better about yourself

Disadvantages: None, but a sequal relating to babies and toddlers would be great

This book is american based, so there are differences in their teminology but nevertheless it is a must read whether it's your first pregnancy or tenth !

It had me in absolute tears at times with it's stories about pregnancy and it's simple honesty.

The author has taken much trouble to collate different experiences and writes in a very informal way (even using some rude words !).

It was refreshing to read a book about pregnancy which did not try to bamboozle the reader with all of those technical terms or make you feel as though you simply glow and grow with no pain and have a lovely time. Anyone who'se been through a full nine months and labour know that the reality is quite different.

I read the book twice during each of my pregnancies and referred back to certain chapters just to have a good laugh.. albeit, at myself.
