*The Background* I remember Funnybones from the television series many years ago rather than from the series of books but Allan Ahlberg is the well-known writer of this book and Andre Amstutz does the illustrations. Although the original stories were written all those years ago, they have been given a new lease of life thanks to the Puffin publishing house who have re-issued them all in large paperback form. The books are all about a family of skeletons and tell of the adventures they get up to. *The Story* Repetition is apparent right from the start in this book. Dinosaur Dreams One of the ever popular Funnybones books, which children seem to love! ~~Story and Illustrations~~ Of course, the book, as with all the books in the Funnybones series starts by setting the scene..."In a dark, dark street, there is a tall tall house..." Children who have read any of the books before will feel very pleased with themselves because even if they are not reading independently, they will be able join in with this first page.
