At the age of 12, I was keenly horse mad and also loved adventure stories, whether they be kids solving mysteries, or Cherry Ames going on some exotic nursing assignment, or an outing in the Star Wars universe. Imagine my great excitement when I discovered this lovely little book sitting at my place at the table one afternoon, after my parents returned from a shopping trip one day while I was at school.
