Advantages: Good identification of body shape

Disadvantages: Not worth the price tag

I saw this book when I was buying fresh free range eggs at a farm. I paid 50p for the book.

I remembered Trinny and Susannah being interviewed by Jonathan Ross last year and they were talking about this book. If I remember correctly, the body shape bible was published and launched in late 2007.

I am not surprised to see this book at the farm shop, it is not a brand new but the book look like it has not been read. I decide to buy the book and do a review on it.

The Body Shape Bible is a hard cover book with Trinny and Susannah fronting the cover. My first impression when I flipped through the book was it have lots of pictures, it is printed in nice paper and there are not many words. In the book, Trinny and Susannah come bare about their own problems with dressing correctly to their body shape. The different body shape is narrated into individual chapter. For each body shape, Trinny and Susannah point out the common mistakes people make in their attire, picture illustration of what kind of attire suits that particular body shape and finally to make us feel better, pictures of celebrities with the same type of body shape.

5. The Cello
6. The Apple
7. The Column
8. The Bell
9. The Vase
10. The Brick
11. The Lollipop
12. The Pear

I am pleasantly surprised to find the book interesting. I was prepared to criticise the book but I can't. I find myself thinking about my own body shape, confirming what I already know about myself and analysing where I have gone wrong. Trinny and Susannah do make me feel that they understand why many of us are frustrated with looking right and dressing well.

Though I do not think this book is lousy but I do think that it is not worth the price tag of £20 when it was first published.

Now I understand why this book is in the farm shop,

The Body Shape Bible is easy to read as there are more pictures than words. After going through the book once, I wouldn't read it again. That is it, I am going to give the book to the farm shop.
