I had extremely high hopes for "The Broken Window" being the eighth book in the Lincoln Rhyme series. This is a series which consistently delivers and the last instalment "The Cold Moon" was perhaps the finest book in the whole collection. If you have not read any in this series I would strongly urge you to. Rhyme is a quadriplegic forensic expert. He only has movement from the neck up and in his ring finger so spends most of his time assisting via telephone calls and video links.
