      Good book

This is another one of my free amazon books, since having a kindle I don't seem to have paid for many books at all! It has also encouraged me to read some books that I might not have considered if I was paying for them or if it was just in paperback. From the cover and title of this book I may not have been that encouraged normally since it seems like a mystery but it was quite good.

It is a typical chick lit book, and focuses on C.C. as the protagonist likes to be called and her love life and work. Her boyfriend isn't actually missing as the title implies, she doesn't have one and is hunting for one throughout the book since she is sick of being single when all of her friends seem to be in happy relationships! This situation makes various events occur that make CC even more desperate throughout the book, like when she goes to a dinner party and she is the only single one there! There are also various sub plots throughout the book such as the troubles of her gay friend and her job being in jeopardy. One of the funny points was her mother's Moroccan toy boy as well, Alexander certainly doesn't hold back!

I enjoyed this book, I think that it is quite different to what is out in the market with the likes of some of the chick lit authors since there seems to be more focus on plot and finding yourself rather than just loads of sex scenes as there is in so many of the other chick lit books. The characters were definitely a good point of the book, and they were really diverse since the protagonist seemed to have a lot of gay friends, and a lot of the story was put onto them, sometimes I felt the plot focused on them a little bit too much! However I did really find some bits of the book quite interesting such as the bits about her job, and ultimately it was a good book. Its available on amazon.
