After reading SANDEMP's excellent review of this book and coming across MAURI's book challenge on his profile page, I thought I'd enter my review of this into the challenge. If you want more information contact the Book category guides Mauri or Calypte. CS Lewis wrote more than just the Narnia series, of course. He wrote other allegorical works. He wrote treatises on Christianity. He wrote.. well, he wrote lots of things. But if you've never read anything by him before, you MUST start with The Chronicles of Narnia. Not because they're the most well known, but because in the entire Chronicles (which here comprises 7 novels in one book), you can see the ... Read the complete review

I've been steadily working my way through my favourite childhood reading material, and just realised that my thirteen year-old son has laid claim to my copies of the books that make up The Chronicles of Narnia, which is a set of books that was bought for me when I was about ten. I remember being taken to the strange and magical land of Narnia many times as I steadily worked my way through the series and now I'm going to tell you why I was so enchanted with the books. ---The Storyline--- The books take us on a journey from the creation to the destruction of a magical world. Within the journey we meet some brave children, evil witches, dwarves, fauns ... Read the complete review

I loved these books when I was little. I had the Magician's Nephew read to me as a bed time story, then I went on to read the others myself. Some I liked better than others, but I enjoyed the whole series. I recently bought myself the whole series in one book, with an illustration of a lion on the front (the books I'd read when I was little left home with my sister). There are seven books in the series, written by C S Lewis. I have read them all several times and am in the process of reading them all again. Four of them were adapted for television by the BBC and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe had recently been released as a film (well worth seeing). ... Read the complete review

With a heavy presence in the public consciousness and a new film on the way, C. S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia are proving as timeless as the Christian stories the author wished to elaborate on. There was an animated film, the BBC made four adaptations in the late eighties and it’s even referenced in ‘The Young Ones.’ Enjoyable for adults as well as children, and occasionally for the exact same reasons, these seven books continue to be re-released as each new generation discovers the land of Narnia. THE CHRONICLES ~^~ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe ~^~ Lewis’ first book about Narnia, which he never really intended to ... Read the complete review

The Chronicles of Narnia are a set of seven fantasy books originally written for children by CS Lewis. The Chronicles of Narnia were my favourite books as a child and remain so as an adult. The Chronicles of Narnia include: The magicians nephew The lion, the witch and the wardrobe The Horse and his boy Prince Caspian The Voyage of the dawntreader The silver Chair The Last Battle The books follow the story of a group of children and there adventures in a magical land known as Narnia. The children travel too and from Narnia using different objects. One of the central characters in the books is a ... Read the complete review
