I am not sure if this is the same book as reviewed by others. It is the Dr Miriam Stoppard s Complete Pregnancy and Birth Handbook. It is a Dorling Kindersley publication. My particular edition is the revised 2000. The cost of the book was £5.99. The cover of the book is paper. It is white with a lovely picture of Dr Stoppard herself and a happy baby, a happy mum and a happy dad! How nice! Not stereotypical at all! Oh no!! I knew nothing and wanted to read everything. Back then, I thought that it was quite a good book. Now I have changed my mind and it is one of many pregnancy books in the bedroom. I haven't dipped into it for weeks. It just isn't up to the standards of the others I have. POSITIVES It covers most things that you will need to know and the earlier sections on pre-pregnancy are good. Often this is neglected by books that assume the reader is already pregnancy when buying it. ...
