I usually only take a week or so to read a book, and so it was with some surprise that it took me six weeks to get through 'The Corner'. The reason? The text is so dense, so rich in the writing, that sentences and paragraphs take time to get through, to digest and absorb, like nothing else I've ever read. The Corner is a unique book.
