Advantages: Great thriller.. the characters are great

Disadvantages: Too much emphasis on code breaking

It was my first experience with Dan Brown..
A body is found in the Lourve museum paris. Robert Langdon is called on to investigate the matter by Bezu Fache, of the Police department. There he is joined by Sophie Neveau the granddaughter of the dead man; who is killed by a brain washed Albino monk.(may be circumstances contributed to the brain wash). Together they follow a chain of trails, which leads to the pursuit of the Holy Grail. There is Silas the Albino monk working to save the reputation of the Catholic Church. They travel from France to England with the help of Teabig; who risks his reputation for the cause. Dan Brown has managed to point the needle of suspicion from one character to another skillfully. There are surprises and betrayal towards the end. Dan Brown has beautifully combined fact with fiction. The book is a true treat, and you find it hard to put down.
The character of Robert Langdon is enchanting. It also makes us have some sympathy for him as he is a claustrophobe. Teabig's character as a witty man is handled very well. Sophie's character though is a weak link.

Summary: On of the best books i have read.. you should read it too
