Advantages: Short chapters, intense story
Disadvantages: None
I am not much of a reader. I was lent this book by a friend so I thought I would give it a try.
I couldn't put it down.
Here we have a book that is perfect for people like me. The chapters are so short that you can read one in just a few minutes. Perfect for someone like me. But as I got further and further into the book, I found myself reading more and more. In fact because of this book I have now read a few others (Dan Brown and Michael Chrichton).
The plot is not really based so much around the bible (as many religious people will tell you) but more around an organisation that was against the Catholic church. Many of the well known artists are supposedly painting clues to the whereabouts of the Holy Grail since they are part of the organisation against the Catholics. Many of the paintings are within the churches themselves.
A gripping book, with murders, fast action, no boring parts and puzzles you might even try to solve yourself if you want.
I would suggest that this is one of the best books I have ever read. Perhaps not as good as Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, I think that one was better but they are quite similar in style and storyline.
Summary: Very highly recommended.

- 18/08/08 His two earlier books, in my opinion, are not so well written but Da Vinci and Angels and Demons are real page turners. |
