Sent off to realise his dream, Twig wanders from the path, to be drawn into wonderful adventures with some amazingly gruesome incidents - detailed illustrations on every other page provide added excitement to this roller-coaster ride, which just gets better and better with each chapter - reminded me a bit of Terry Pratchett's books but without the inane humour.
