Brilliant descriptive writing Not always reflecting period; not always believable

well written, convincing, original, works both as art and as "issue" novel not for everybody: the language & the unreliable narrator might put off

Wonderful characters and some fantastic prose 336 pages is just not enough

Pacy, well written, engaging. Slightly dated in parts

The Apprentice - Tess Gerritsen
Entertaining and gives the reader the beginning of an insight into what makes a killer tick Ends a bit abruptly and, as an early book, is not quite as compelling as her later novels
