The illustrations in the book are bright and funny and they match the story really well. My daughter finds the part when he wishes he was as round as a biscuit most intriguing and will interrupt the flow of the book for a good 5 minutes every time asking why he wanted to be round as a biscuit I guess that's a question that only the fish can answer as I have no idea! The fish who could wish is a relatively new addition to my daughter's book shelves and a new firm favourite. She recently received this as a gift from Bookstart. The fish who could with is written by John Bush and illustrated by Korky Paul. The book is a rhyming story which is always a hit in my house about a fish who can wish and what he actually wishes for. The very lucky fish wishes for all sorts of silly things and in the end there is a moral to learn! The illustrations in the book are bright and funny and they match the story really well. 'The Fish Who Could Wish', written by John Bush and Korky Paul, is a fun little picture book aimed at small children but with a bit of a moral at the end too! The entire story is written in rhyme and takes place at the bottom of the sea where we meet a very unusual but lucky fish! This fish is different because every time he makes a wish it actually comes true! This fish wishes for all sorts of unusual things - for example a car and a castle, a horse and a spanish guitar. Quite an unusual set of wishes you may think, but they all miraculously appear.
