Sebastian Faulks is a popular choice among readers and his latest book entitled `A Week In December` has only just been published. Faulks was born in 1953 and as soon as he was able to read his Mother gave him full encouragement. He went on to read English at Emmanuel College, Cambridge and graduated in 1974. Faulks says that his writing was inspired by D.H. Lawrence and Charles Dickens and as he approached his early teens he was convinced that he was going to become an author.
