It's been a while since I read a book that, upon finishing, I realised would not be matched for a long while, because it was just that good. The last time I felt like this was probably reading Water for Elephants, and I couldn't get into a book for quite a while after, knowing it paled in comparison. This is another of those occasions where I truly loved the book and carted it around with me everywhere until I was done. (Fortunately I am about to start The Book Thief, as recommended by Burtybookworm, and it looks to be a good follow-up).
