After seeing the film Bravo Two Zero as soon as i saw this book i HAD to buy it to find out what his writing was really like. I was supprised but at the same time humoured at the language he uses and the way he describes things! Plot - Very intresting book that makes u think all the way through and once u find out that thing it was the person u never thought it was! He keeps you going always wanting to read more! This was one of the first Andy McNab books I read all the way through, the other “Immediate Action”, I only initially read bits of because it was serialised in a paper ! I have since read that but it will be part of a separate review. Anyway, Crisis 4. Its full of action from Page 1 and despite my initial fear that it was going to be simply a repetitive description of one fight after another it does pan out into a very good story. He does manage to get plenty of action into the story but it is well balanced with more evenly paced sections where the bulk of the storyline develops and a very good story it is too. "Remote Control" by Andy McNab is a superb fictional tale from the ex-SAS soldier (at the time of leaving he was the most decorated serving British soldier). One of his first fictional works it certainly does not disapoint with a superb storyline and excellent pace. The story revolves around the main character, Nick Stone who works for British Intelligence on deniable (black) ops. Whilst abroad in the states he finds that a friend (also an ex-soldier, although in this case an American serviceman) has been brutally murdered alongside other members of his family. The only survivor is a yound daughter. Stone quickly realises that he is being chased too and ...
