This is a fantastic book set from the author Julia Donaldson, who is the famous writer who bought us The Gruffalo. I originally bought it for my Year 2 class as we were looking at Julia Donaldson in our English lessons. The set contains these five books in paperback:

The Gruffalo
A Squash and a Squeeze
Monkey Puzzle
Charlie Cook's Favourite Book
The Smartest Giant in Town

The set also comes with an audio CD of all the five books read by Imelda Staunton, Steve Pacey and Jim Carter. I bought this from The Book People for £9.99, which is an absolute steal considering it has a RRP of £29.95 and that each book individually cost £5.99. The books come in a very well presented hard case. These books are very easy to read as they are all cleverly written entirely in rhyme and your child will have you reading them over and over again.

Every household needs a copy of these wonderful and imaginative books!
