My oldest daughter was 6 at the beginning of the month and as part of her birthday box from her grandparents was this book. I have to admit that until that day, I had never heard of the Gruffalo but she was absolutely over the moon as her teacher had read the book to her class before half term and she informed me that this was a great book. I have to admit to being impressed as this is a jigsaw book with six 12-piece jigsaws inside for children to do. Being a present, I did not pay the £10.99 that is stated on the back as the RRP, but knowing my mother, she did not pay full price, as to me that seems like a heck of a lot of money.
