My seven-year-old adores this book. We bought it for him when he was six, and he has spent hours going through it, and then telling us all the jokes. The jokes inside are sometimes slightly cheeky, but never actually rude or inappropriate or problematic. They're obviously carefully selected and thought through (as I'd expect from Ahlberg!). Of course, the down side is, you will be told the same jokes over and over again, but if repetition bugs you, how on earth have you survived this long as a parent!?!
