Advantages: The photos make you want to be apart of it.
Disadvantages: None
This book is an essential read for new and old campers alike. I bought this book earlier on in the year when me and my boyfriend bought a new tent. Just flicking through this book will make you really really want to go camping. Now!
It covers all grounds on how to have a really fun camping experience. From how to pack your car for easy unloading, what food to take, games to play at night and things to make to keep yourself occupied during the long lazy days camping.
The most tresured part of this book for me, is the cooking pages. Turns out with camping it isn't all beans, fry-ups and nipping to the nearest pub to fill up (childhood memories!) but you can make a mean curry feast! Among many other wonders. There is also a great section of 'things to make before you go' like brownies and tea loaf, perfect things to give you a boost before you put the tent up and get to the business of unloading your car and dividing people up.
Also is a section on the 'wild world' with pages of trees to look for, like tree bingo I suppose.
For anyone wanting to start camping. I fully recommend this book to you.
It makes you feel safe in the knowledge you can quit your 9-5 at the weekend and make way for open air and all of natures goodies.
Grab your best flask, you closest loved ones, gather around the camp-fire and become a happy camper!
Summary: A great book for any camper.
