Frank and Joe Hardy are the teenage sons of famous private detective Fenton Hardy and his wife Laura. Together, (and sometimes from help with family and friends) they investigate all sorts of crimes & strange occurences.... Game Plan For Disaster was published in the US in 1982 & was the seventy sixth in the series. The book first appeared in the UK in 1984 and was numbered 74 when it was published by Armada. The paricular book opens with Dr. Catello, the president of State University attempting to hire Fenton Hardy to protect football star Kevin Harrington, who is also known as Ace. The 76th Hardy Boys mystery has a little bit of a difference about it to most of the other books in the series. Usually, what we experience from the books is two seemingly different plots that merge to link together. However, Game Plan For Disaster defies the mold of a lot of previous Hardy Boys books, and not only gives us two different plots that don't particularly merge, but tries to give us a good 'yarn' as it were. Note, I said 'tries'........ The heroes of the piece are teenage brothers Frank and Joe Hardy, sons of supersleuth Fenton Hardy, and they are often involved in cases themselves.
