Frank & Joe Hardy are the teenage sons of famous private detective Fenton Hardy & his wife Laura. Together, (& sometimes from help with family & friends) they investigate all sorts of crimes & strange occurences.... The Mystery Of The Desert Giant was published in the US in 1961 & was the fortieth in the series. The book first appeared in the UK in 1971 & was numbered 6 when it was published by Armada. This book opens with Frank, Joe & Chet lurking in the front garden of the Hardy home with Chet's infra-red camera. The Mystery of the Desert Giant is the 40th book in the series of popular Hardy Boys books, released under the pen name Franklin W Dixon and written by a number of different ghost writers. This particular book was published in 1960, and follows suit with previous books as the heroes, brothers Frank and Joe Hardy, become involved in corruption and a missing person. The boys are enlisted following the disappearance of a man named Grafton.
