Together, (& sometimes from help with family & friends) they investigate all sorts of crimes & strange occurences.... The Mystery Of The Spiral Bridge was published in the US in 1966 & was the forty fifth in the series. The book first appeared in the UK in 1972 & was the eighth story published by Armada. The book opens with Frank & Joe waiting for their injured father to be flown into Bayport Airport. The Mystery of the Spiral Bridge is one of the Hardy Boys books that has its roots in a more personal mission for the brothers. The Hardy boys are brothers Frank and Joe Hardy, sons of supersleuth Fenton. This is the 45th book in the original series of Hardy Boys books released under the pseudonym Franklin W Dixon but written by a number of different ghost writers. Here, the boys find out that their father has been kidnapped, and they set out to rescue him. And it literally is as simple as that.
