Frank & Joe Hardy are the teenage sons of famous private detective Fenton Hardy & his wife Laura. Together, (& sometimes from help with family & friends) they investigate all sorts of crimes & strange occurences.... The Secret Of Skull Mountain was published in the US in 1948 & was the twenty sixth in the series. It was revised in 1966. The book first appeared in the UK in 1977 & was numbered 40 when it was published by Armada. This story starts as Frank and Joe Hardy decide they want to go swimming, but there is a severe lack of water to do so in their favoured water hole. Investigating (as they do best), the brothers find out that water is mysteriously disappearing overnight from the Skull Mountain reservoir. As the boys investigate further, they are attacked a number of times, leading them to think that something more sinister is going..... The Secret of Skull Mountain is the 27th Hardy Boys book.
